Ein Aufruf zu Frieden, Würde und Versöhnung
Kriege und Krisen beherrschen das Weltgeschehen. Man könnte meine, die Zeit des guten Willens und der Diplomatie sei vorbei. Allerorten dominieren die lauten und scharfen Töne. Das besorgt uns. Wir leiden mit allen Menschen, die in den über 60 Kriegsgebieten dieser Welt in Todesangst leben oder um getötete Angehörige und Freunde trauern.
Als Vertreter für Freie evangelische Gemeinden in über 30 Ländern und Organisationen in über 100 Ländern bitten wir die politischen Entscheidungsträger weltweit,
- sich für gerechte und dauerhafte Friedensschlüsse einzusetzen;
- sich darum zu bemühen, dass alle Menschen überall mit Würde behandelt werden;
- die gemeinsame Verantwortung für diese Welt gegenüber den Interessen der Nationalstaaten zu bedenken;
- sich Gott gegenüber verantwortlich zu zeigen, dem diese Welt und alles Leben gehört.
Es zeichnet die Würde eines politischen Amtes aus, Interessen nicht gegeneinander auszuspielen und Menschen nicht gegeneinander aufzubringen, sondern zu versöhnen: Mehrheiten und Minderheiten, Reiche und Arme, Junge und Ältere, mächtige und kleine Staaten. Wir alle brauchen einander. Politik lebt von harter Auseinandersetzung in der Sache, aber auch von respektvollem Umgang miteinander.
Zum Wesen der christlichen Gemeinschaften und Kirchen gehört es, dass sie in aller Unvollkommenheit Verantwortung in der Gegenwart übernehmen und gleichzeitig ihren Blick auf die Zukunft richten. „Siehe, ich mache alles neu!“ kündigt Gott an (Die Bibel: Offenbarung 21,5). Wir blicken voller Hoffnung auf den Tag, an dem Menschen aus allen Nationen, Stämmen und Sprachen im Reich Gottes versammelt sein werden – nicht geeint durch Ideologie oder politische Zugehörigkeit, sondern durch die ewige Identität, die wir in Jesus Christus teilen. Diese Identität geht über alle anderen hinaus und ruft uns zu einer tieferen Einheit, die von Gnade, Demut und Liebe geprägt ist.
Das wollen wir als Freie evangelische Gemeinden bereits jetzt widerspiegeln. Wir wollen Menschen aus allen Ländern in unseren Gemeinden willkommen heißen, Konflikte aushalten und Unterschiede annehmen. Gemeinden sind Orte der Versöhnung, besonders in der aktuellen Weltlage.

English version | A call for peace, dignity and reconciliation
A CALL FOR PEACE, DIGNITY AND RECONCILIATION
Wars and crises dominate world events. One might think that the time of goodwill and diplomacy is over. Loud and harsh tones prevail everywhere. That worries us. We suffer with all the people who live in fear of death or mourn the death of relatives and friends in more than 60 war zones around the world.
As representatives of Free Evangelical Churches in over 30 countries with affiliates in 100 countries, we ask political decision-makers worldwide to
- work for just and lasting peace agreements;
- ensure that all people everywhere are treated with dignity;
- consider our shared responsibility for this world despite all national interests;
- hold themselves accountable to God, to whom this world and all life belongs.
It characterizes the dignity of a political office not to play interests against each other and not to utilize people against each other, but to reconcile them: Majorities and minorities, rich and poor, young and old, powerful and small states. We all need each other. Politics thrives on heated debates, but also on respectful interaction with one another.
It is part of the nature of Christian communities and churches that, despite their imperfections, they take responsibility in the present and at the same time look to the future. God proclaims, ‘I am making everything new!’ (Revelation 21:5). We look ahead in hope to the day when people from every nation, tribe, and language will be gathered together in the kingdom of God—not united by ideology or political allegiance, but by the eternal identity we share in Jesus Christ. This identity transcends all others, calling us into a deeper unity marked by grace, humility, and love.
As Free Evangelical Churches, we want to reflect this now. We want to welcome people from all countries into our congregations, endure conflict and embrace differences. Congregations are places of reconciliation, especially in the current world situation.

UN LLAMADO A LA PAZ, LA DIGNIDAD Y LA RECONCILIACIÓN
Las guerras y las crisis dominan los acontecimientos mundiales. Podría pensarse que la era de la buena voluntad y la diplomacia ha terminado. Sin embargo, prevalecen tonos fuertes y ásperos por doquier. Esto nos preocupa. Sufrimos con todas las personas que viven con miedo a la muerte o lloran la muerte de familiares y amigos en más de 60 zonas de guerra en todo el mundo.
Como representantes de las Iglesias Evangélicas Libres en más de 30 países, con filiales en 100 países, pedimos a los responsables políticos de todo el mundo que:
- trabajen por acuerdos de paz justos y duraderos;
- garanticen que todas las personas, en todas partes, sean tratadas con dignidad;
- consideren nuestra responsabilidad compartida por este mundo, a pesar de todos los intereses nacionales;
- rindan cuentas a Dios, a quien pertenece este mundo y toda la vida.
La dignidad de un cargo político se caracteriza por no contraponer intereses ni utilizar a las personas entre sí, sino por reconciliarlas: mayorías y minorías, ricos y pobres, jóvenes y ancianos, estados poderosos y pequeños. Todos nos necesitamos. La política prospera gracias a los debates acalorados, pero también a la interacción respetuosa entre nosotros.
Es propio de las comunidades e iglesias cristianas que, a pesar de sus imperfecciones, asuman su responsabilidad en el presente y, al mismo tiempo, miren hacia el futuro. Dios proclama: «¡Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas!» (Apocalipsis 21:5). Miramos hacia adelante con esperanza, hacia el día en que personas de toda nación, tribu y lengua se reunirán en el reino de Dios, no unidas por ideologías o afiliaciones políticas, sino por la identidad eterna que compartimos en Jesucristo. Esta identidad trasciende a todas las demás, llamándonos a una unidad más profunda, marcada por la gracia, la humildad y el amor.
Como Iglesias Evangélicas Libres, queremos reflejar esto ahora. Queremos acoger a personas de todos los países en nuestras congregaciones, superar los conflictos y aceptar las diferencias. Las congregaciones son espacios de reconciliación, especialmente en la situación mundial actual.
